Background Ukraine lacked a centralized system for tracking pets, leaving them vulnerable and making veterinary care inefficient. To solve this, the Ministry of Agriculture, with international support, launched a nationwide Pet Registration initiative, aiming to simplify pet identification and boost awareness. Idea The Pet Register is a national digital system that turns every pet into a digital fingerprint. The logo, inspired by a spreadsheet, visually represents this structure. A modular 3D mascot brings this idea to life, communicating the benefits of registration in an engaging, friendly form. Thanks to its simple, geometric design, the mascot is versatile in both digital and offline spaces, from vet clinic counters to life-size standees. The typeface, based on eUkraine — the official government font of Ukraine — features pixel-style letters and numerals to reinforce the digital nature of the project. Results The project is in its early phase, with 4 CRM systems integrated, covering 90% of veterinary professionals, paving the way for broader adoption and enhanced pet care.
