Ukrainians Say Thank You

To express gratitude towards people who are standing with Ukraine by showing up at protests, making donations and sharing their homes with refugees, Wieden+Kennedy Amsterdam’s Ukrainian Motion Designer Serhii Serbin teamed up with his Kyiv-based friend and fellow Designer Olla Kuzovkina to create a set of downloadable posters and social assets to say: “Дякую” (Thank You) for all the help Ukrainians have been receiving since the war started on 24.02.22.  Available in 16 languages, the idea is for people to spread the seven messages* of appreciation across different cities, in turn reproducing the Ukrainian flag to show solidarity and support. People in Germany, The Netherlands, Poland, France, Estonia and Czech Republic are already joining in pasting posters around different cities, outside and in shops, companies etc.  “This project is very important to us. Whilst we feel so angry, we are also so touched by the amazing support from people all over the world. So we decided to channel our energy into making a project to show our appreciation to people who have been helping us in this difficult situation.”  They created the website ukrainianssaythankyou.com and Instagram channel @​​ukrainianssay.thankyou where people can join and champion the initiative by downloading the posters and social assets. It also offers advice as to where to donate and help support Ukraine.  “Ukrainians are super thankful, we are just highlighting it. There is so much violence right now, let’s show compassion and be kind to one another.”
