BACKGROUND: War destroys not only human lives but also business. With ⅕ of country under attack of russian army, sea ports blocked, air flights stopped and travel restrictions imposed, lots of small businesses all over the country are suffering. According to the National Bank of Ukraine in 2022 the GDP will decrease 50%. According to an European Business Association survey, in April only 17% of companies are fully operational and one in three companies is not operating at all. Ukraine needs not only arms and macroeconomic aid - Ukrainian business needs support to survive. Goals: To start Ukrainian economic front To attract financial support for small and medium-sized businesses in Ukraine operating in wartime. CREATIVE IDEA, STRATEGY: Numerous people are donating to Ukraine. But this aid goes mostly to the army and theGovernment. We set up a direct channel to help Ukrainian businesses to work for Ukraine. #WORK4UA - makes it possible to work for Ukraine for everybody - as the support provided keeps small enterprises working. EXECUTION: We created a website work4ua.org where Ukrainian entrepreneurs are able to post their stories together with photos of their business, team, production, office or workplace. Entrepreneurs can accept donations or create “lots” of products or services to be sold or provided for some amount of aid. These turn donors into buyers and donations into goods of services bought or provided as charity. Additionally, we created the social media pages, where we regularly make publications and share the stories of Ukrainian entrepreneurs, who already joined the platform. RESULTS: 114 stories of Ukrainian entrepreneurs were collected and published on the website during the first week. 27 different international media shared news about the project and the platform. Thousands of transfers were made for almost every business on a platform.
