Креативна ідея:
A charity run in support of Ukrainian heroes organized by Nova Post - the famous Ukrainian logistic company, which brought together more than 14,000 participants from 65 countries worldwide. Marathon is a long-distance race requiring endurance, resilience, and strength. Since 2014, Ukraine has been enduring its own marathon: for life, freedom, and independence. On October 29, 2023, Nova Post organized a charity run to support those who have been defending, rescuing, treating, and bringing Ukraine closer to victory for over 9 years*. We wanted to thank and support the defenders, doctors, rescuers, sappers, and volunteers. We called it the World’s Longest Marathon, because there are no sports runs that last as long as Ukraine has been fighting for its freedom. Each participant could run any distance from anywhere in the world and dedicate their run to their hero by indicating his/her name on the bib, and dedicating their medal to them. We created the concept of a dynamic medal, which symbolised the runner’s relentless movement. To create the start numbers, we conducted research, analytics, and fact-checking and selected 5 facts about the war in Ukraine, which were embodied both on bibs and project website. When completing the form, participants could choose one of two options: to run “remotely” or “in Kyiv.” The runner was provided with a start number where they could add the name of the hero to whom they were dedicating the run and a fact about the war in Ukraine, a symbolic medal designed by Yurko Hutsuliak and postcards with photos of Kostiantyn and Vlada Liberov — Ukrainian photographers whose work from battlefields was included by Time in the Top 100 Photos of 2022 and is regularly published in the world media, including the Washington Post, CNN, and others. 14,000 people from 65 countries worldwide, including the USA, Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Poland, Switzerland, Antarctica, and others, participated in the charity run in honor of Ukrainian heroes. We raised 52 600 € in donations through registration fees. 71,653,102 contacts are the total coverage of the World’s Longest Marathon. 23 stories and broadcasts on international and all-Ukrainian TV channels and radio, 273 publications in international media, and 120 publications in all-Ukrainian online media. 7,653 posts on social media.
