Invictus Games is an international adaptive sports event founded by Prince Harry that brings together wounded and injured military veterans from around the world. In 2025, the Games were held in Vancouver and Whistler, with a visual identity shaped by traditional Indigenous Canadian symbolism. The main theme of the event was Truth and Reconciliation between Canadians and Indigenous peoples. For Ukraine, reconciliation took on a different meaning — reconciliation with ourselves, with our past, and with the strength to keep living. We expressed it through the oldest Ukrainian symbol: the Tree of Life. Its roots represent the past — ancient and rich. The trunk is the present: strong and steadfast, like an unwavering oak. Two vigilant falcons rest on its branches, standing guard over the future. And the future itself is a sunflower in bloom, always reaching toward the sun. The graphic language of the uniform is inspired by vybyika — the traditional Ukrainian block printing technique our ancestors used to decorate fabric. With wooden stamps, they imprinted patterns carrying deep symbolic meaning. Breaking with tradition, we deliberately stepped away from bright national colors toward a restrained palette — to honor the dignity, courage and inner restraint our team members embody. The uniforms were custom-designed and dyed from scratch in Kharkiv, allowing us to integrate adaptive features for athletes with prostheses — all under constant shelling. Our new uniform is infused with the strength of generations, an unshakable spirit, and the will to live. I AM WILLPOWER. Slava Ukraini!
