This project is not about war and not about migration. It is about what begins after. After the noise, after the losses, after the destruction. It is about post-traumatic resistance to disappearance. About the attempt to remain at least a shadow on paper. Once we were neighbors in our hometown. And friends. Then everything fell apart – war, migration, thousands of kilometers. But unlike the home that fell apart, the friendship remained. And now we are neighbors again, but in another country. This is not just a coincidence, but a point of return. A name that became reality. Sometimes, to return, remembering is not enough. One needs to reimagine. It is like the archaeology of one's connection to reality: when a photograph is no longer a document, but an artifact. We look at painfully familiar walls, faces, trees, and through them try to bring back a whole world. Not the way it was, but the way it could have been. If no one had taken it away. The rhythm, the noise, the color – everything is off, everything is anxious. And this is not an accident. This is a way to speak. An attempt to catch what slips away. This is the language of return. This is not about nostalgia. This is about reconstruction. About silence. About a home that is being rebuilt from pixels, paper, typography. From the memory of a friend who became a co-author. If nothing else holds – let this page hold. Sometimes this is exactly how a new world begins. × × × × × × × × × × × × × × × This album is about what begins after loss. When resistance to disappearance still lives inside, and memory holds like an anchor. Once, we were neighbors. Now in another country. The home is gone, but the friendship remains. Perhaps it can still be imagined. These photos are not about the past but about an attempt to return. Not to where things were, but to where they could have been. This is not nostalgia but reconstruction -- a home made of light, noise, and co-creation. Sometimes a single page is enough to feel at home again.
