Creative idea:
“Crimea 5 am” is a social campaign to support Ukrainians that are political prisoners in Russia. After the Crimea occupation in 2014, Russia started to persecute Crimean Tatars, indigenous people of the region, for their pro-Ukrainian position. At 5 am, any day, russian police have been breaking down doors and arresting people. When no one - journalists or lawyers - can protect them. To show the world evidence of the brutal Russian invasion, at 5 am, on February 21, we installed broken doors outside the Russian embassy in Kyiv. They symbolized the broken lives of more than a hundred civic activists sentenced to 15 to 17 years. Leading Ukrainian media covered the event for 8+ million. On February 24, symbolically at 5 am, Russia started its war against Ukraine. On the same day "Crimea 5 AM" became "Ukraine 5 AM". People used the doors as meeting points for protests against the war in Warsaw and Berlin. So the brocken doors became the symbol of a full-scale invasion.
