For the past two years, countless Ukrainian households have been viewing their surroundings through the prism of war reality, marked by windows criss-crossed with adhesive tape. This simple yet efficient technique is used to protect windows from blast waves of exploding bombs and thus prevent flying glass shards from injuring people. Today, this method can be observed on hundreds of thousands of windows nationwide, a stark reminder that safety remains elusive in times of invasion. WATAGA Wine is an association of Ukrainian wineries that have created a single brand of export wine. One of the labels depicts the view from an average window in Ukraine. The beauty of nature is crossed out with protective tape. Through these visual images we aim to convey to the world that despite the ongoing invasion, the spirit of resilience endures. Even amidst the ravages of war, the sun continues to rise over our land, nurturing the soil and yielding grapes that form the essence of our wine.
