Pirinsko, the largest beer brand in Bulgaria, owes its success to its home region. However, during the pandemic, the mountainous region of Pirin was struggling with a lack of tourists – the main source of livelihood for locals. Without hesitation, Pirinsko refocused its marketing strategy to help its region in an unusual way. Pirinsko renovated the only remaining narrow-gauge train that passes through the heart of the Pirin region to attract visitors and national attention. The result was a record number of passengers and a drastic increase in tourists to the region, solidifying the bond between Pirinsko and its home region.
