NATIONAL CREATIVE CONTESTS
ABOUT
NATIONAL CREATIVE CONTESTS are national advertising contests that are open to all Ukrainian participants in the advertising and communication market, both experienced and young creators.
The Contests are designed to reveal the most interesting and brightest ideas, to celebrate the most creative projects and introduce publicly the best examples of modern creativity in various directions.
The National Creative Contests are held within the framework of Ukrainian Creative Stories 2023 and are organized outside the contest program of the Kyiv International Advertising Festival 2023.
There are three contests, each of which will have a given topic related to the war in Ukraine or other socially important issues for Ukraine. The topics will be presented in three separate briefs prepared for specific organizations or government structures. Detailed information will be covered in each brief separately.
Participation in the contests is absolutely free of charge, everyone has the opportunity to demonstrate their talents and creativity according to the given briefs.
The members of the jury will be members of the Art Direction Club of Ukraine ADC*UA, who are leading Ukrainian creative directors, art directors and designers. Each contest will have its own jury team.

After judging the works, the jury will determine the winners (the first, second and third places) and shortlists.
The winners and finalists of the contest have the right of the free of charge participation with one entry in the contest program of the Kyiv International Advertising Festival 2023, and they will also be awarded with points at the National Ranking of Creativity and Craft 2023, which will be compiled based on the results of the KIAF 2023.
Pay attention! All-Ukrainian Advertising Coalition, as the organizer of national contests, will separately familiarize the organization that provides the brief with all contest works and their authors, regardless of the occupied winning place or without one at all, for further potential cooperation for the implementation of the chosen concept and the implementation of future projects.
RULES & ELIGIBILITY
Before entering to the National Creative Contests, please familiarize yourself with the rules and conditions of participation.
- The organizer of the National Creative Contests is the All-Ukrainian Advertising Coalition.
- The contest is a national one and takes place on the territory of Ukraine. The jury includes members of the Art Directors Club of Ukraine ADC*UA.
- National Creative Contests consists of three contests, which correspond to three separate topics (briefs), created for one of the VRK partners (international programs of technical assistance, foundations, donors, state institutions), and are held consecutively one after the other.
- Contest period: November 2022 – February 2023.
Contests are held in three waves (independently of each other), according to the announcement of the briefs:
Brief 1: November - December2022 (entry registration is closed)
Brief 2: December 2022 - January 2023 (entry registration is closed)
Brief 3: January - February 2023 (entry registration is closed) - The National Creative Contests are open to all willing Ukrainian participants, namely: advertising agencies, independent creators, advertisers, media companies and all those involved in advertising, production, media, PR, design, and creativity in general.
- Participation in the contests is free of charge.
- Entry form must be completed online on the site.
- As concept works, various media formats are accepted for participation by choice or together for presentations of the idea and its argumentation, among which may be:
- creative images, design concepts, etc
- video files (videos, animations or video cases, etc.
- a web link to the digital execution and/or presentation web page with a description of the project
- PDF files with idea presentation, examples of visual materials, script, moodboards, etc. - Each participant can register any number of entries.
- Entries must be registered before the end of the deadline, according to one of the periods.
- All entries must correspond to the topics, tasks and conditions mentioned in the announced briefs. It is important that the presented idea/concept MUST NOT BE an already implemented work for any of the customers, and MUST NOT be one that has been aired or published/publicized before the entry.
- Providing data, including personal data related to the contest, is voluntary but necessary for participating in the contest. Information about the work will be available to the judging jury and will be published on the contest website in case it will be in the finalist list.
- Participation in the contest is voluntary. By participating in the contest, you accept all the rules of participation.
- The entries will be automatically submitted for judging.
- Contest results and winners will be announced in three waves, namely at the end of each contest period.
- The winners and finalists of the contest have the right of the free of charge participation with one entry in the contest program of the Kyiv International Advertising Festival 2023, and they will get awarded points in the National ranking of creativity and craft 2023: shortlist – 2 points, bronze (3rd place) – 4 points, silver (2nd place ) – 6 points, gold (1st place) – 8 points.
- Absolutely all entries to the National Creative Contests will be presented to the partners of the VRK (international programs of technical assistance, foundations, donors, state institutions) for further consideration of potential cooperation by the partners on the possibility of implementing the projects identified by such partners. The partners select the entries for potential collaboration independently of the jury members and their decisions on the winners.
- The contest participant guarantees the legal use of music, photos, texts, etc. in the contest entry, and undertakes to independently resolve all possible copyright disputes.
- In order to promote the contests, the organizers may screen, publish or reproduce all materials submitted to the site for purposes of promoting the contests.
