May 31, 2022

Today, June 1, the KIAF jury teams start their work online. By June 10, judges will evaluate 822 works from 31 countries. Most of the entries are from Ukraine, but 79 foreign participants applied for the contest.

Most works were submitted to the Positive Change - #StandWithUkraine (387 entries), the second place is occupied by works from the Positive Change - Non-Profit categories (239 entries) and in last place is  occupied by the Positive Change - Commercial (196 entries).

This year, the KIAF has a wide geography, as the purpose of the competition was to involve the international community in supporting the advertising industry of Ukraine. The works came from Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Great Britain, Armenia, Georgia, Estonia, Italy, Spain, Ireland, Canada, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Germany, Norway, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, USA, Slovakia, Slovenia, Uzbekistan, France, Finland, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Sweden and Switzerland.

Some works were submitted as "not an awarding ad" – foreign agencies submitted such works not to compete for the award, but only to support the Ukrainian advertising industry.

Most entries from foreign entrants came from Germany, Georgia and Poland, and most "not an awarding ad" came from Canada and Slovakia.

Therefore, the judges have an important job to do is to evaluate a large number of works. This year, the contest will be judged by three international judging teams from 13 countries:

· Jury Team 1: Film & Radio / Audio Advertising, Integrated Campaigns, Digital & Mobile Advertising / Social Media & Influence

· Jury Team 2: Design, Print & Publishing / OOH Advertising, Sustained Solution

· Jury Team 3: Activation Campaigns, PR Campaigns, Direct Campaigns, Local Solution

Online judging will take place until June 10, 2022. And the winners will be announced on June 14-15, 2022.

The All-Ukrainian Advertising Coalition VRK and the Polish Marketing Communications AssociationSAR as organizers of the Ukrainian Creative Stories 2022 project, part of which is the KIAF, express their gratitude to the jury teams and participants who support Ukraine in such difficult times.

In addition to the KIAF contest, the project includes the creation of a joint presentation of advertising agencies of Ukraine, and raising funds for the financial support of the advertising industry. UCS 2022 is supported by Nova Poshta positive change partner.

Earlier,  in the framework of joint efforts of VRK and SAR to support the advertising industry of Ukraine, a platform https://adaid.eu/ was created to find jobs for Ukrainian advertisers in EU countries.
