This calendar is conceived as a visual narrative dedicated to the revival and popularization of authentic Ukrainian folk tales among children and their parents. Rooted in cultural heritage, these stories carry a unique identity and wisdom that distinguish them from globalized narratives. In a time when fast digital content often replaces deep storytelling, the project reintroduces the magic of traditional tales, inviting families to rediscover them together. Each month reveals a scene from a different Ukrainian folk tales. Every illustration is designed to spark curiosity and anticipation, encouraging the child to wonder what happens next. This effect is supported by short engaging prompts such as “Who is hiding here?” or “Who will win this duel?”, which guide attention and invite interaction. These lines are meant to be read aloud by an adult, creating a shared moment of discovery and strengthening the emotional connection between the child, the story, and the act of reading itself. The project is developed for a fictional children’s book publishing house, "Plato Mrij" (Valley of Dreams), envisioned as a space dedicated to bringing folk tales to life in a contemporary, visually compelling form. The title page features the slogan: "A fairy tale teaches how to hear with the heart”, setting the tone for the entire series.
