This is not an illustration, this is an existential cry. Every person has points at which one can notice a break in a pure and genuine view of the world. This project of 80 illustrations is the intersection of oneself and the world’s will; their long-forgotten ideas and experimental responsibility, their past and the general nonexistence. Using a minimum of expressive means and putting myself within strict limits, I tried to imagine much greater things than I was able to say. Fragments of my film photographs, snatches of words, philosophical concepts and abstract patterns — all this is just someone’s portrait, silently swallowing air in the deafening turbulence of the world. What is impossible to talk about must be kept silent — I love static visual art for this silence. I don’t know whether the experiment worked or not, but it’s not for you and me to decide.
