Shelter

This poster was developed as part of my academic work under the supervision of my instructors, Olena Batenko and Svitlana Koshkina

This social poster is dedicated to children in Ukraine during the war. Their childhood unfolds in fear and constant anxiety: they spend nights in shelters due to missile attacks. The poster addresses the theme of childhood in contemporary Ukrainian reality — children growing up during wartime, whose earliest memories are formed not in safety, but in conditions of uncertainty and danger. At the core of the work is a fragment of a lullaby sung by a mother to her child in a shelter during air raids in the early days of the full-scale invasion. The piece speaks about the loss of a safe childhood and, at the same time, about the strength of maternal love, which even in the darkest circumstances remains a source of protection, warmth, and hope.
