The designer aimed to create an object that resembles a soft sculpture rather than a piece of furniture. The world, overloaded with information and details and striving for minimalism and clean lines. The UMI chair embodies this aspiration, and its textiles add a pleasant tactile sensation when you interacting with it. The ergonomic proportions of the chair provide a comfortable sitting position, and the playful shape provokes you to find your own way of interacting with UMI. The chair is suitable for relaxation, reading, and even meditation. At first the UMI armchair was presented at trend zone by Elizabeth Leriche at the Maison&Objet design fair 2023. UMI is a winner of “Architecture Masterprize 2023” as the best furniture design.
