Within the framework of Ukrainian Design: The Very Best Of 2024, the National Union of Artists of Ukraine will recognize the best works for artistic conception and execution.
Ukrainian Design: The Very Best Of is a unique platform for designers from various fields – from well-known industry designers to new Ukrainian designers who seek to make a name for themselves at the national level. The contest is open to designers of all specializations and encourages the participation of young talents and students.
This year, the National Union of Artists of Ukraine will present two special awards for "Artistic Conception" and "Artistic Execution". Winners will be selected from all contest entries in five categories: Graphic Design & Branding, Digital Design, TV/Promo & Video Motion Graphics, Product Design, and Environmental Design.
The main criteria for selecting the winners will be the originality of the idea and its artistic implementation, demonstrating the depth of artistic vision.
Maksym Lazebnyk, the organizer of the contest, comments: "The Ukrainian Design: The Very Best Of contest is an annual report on the achievements of Ukrainian designers and artists, highlighting the most outstanding creative achievements and giving due recognition to the best of the best. The main goal of the contest is to demonstrate to the international community and Ukrainians the reality of "Ukrainian designers and Ukrainian design", to introduce the general public to the brightest examples of contemporary design art and creativity of all kinds, to identify the most talented individuals, and to promote the development of this field.
An international jury, comprising leading international designers, art directors, architects, chief editors of professional publications, and other distinguished industry representatives, will evaluate the contest works.
It will be particularly interesting to see whether the opinions of the jury of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine align with the conclusions of the international creative jury regarding the evaluation of creative works".
The head of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, Kostyantyn Cherniavsky, added: "In the union, we always strive to discover new talents and support already known masters. Participating in the Ukrainian Design: The Very Best Of 2024 contest provides us with a wonderful opportunity to get acquainted with the latest trends in design and artistic works. This year, by giving special awards for artistic conception and execution, we not only want to recognize the high professionalism of the participants but also acknowledge their ability to surprise, innovativeness, and creative approach to solving standard tasks.
The artistic process is always about searching, experimenting, and trying to find a new dimension in the familiar. That's why we consider it important not just to recognize works that stand out from the others but also to highlight the boldness of the idea and the innovation of its implementation. By favoring unconventional thinking, we hope to inspire other artists and designers to creative searches and experiments.
We eagerly await the announcement of the winners and are glad that we can be part of such a significant event for Ukrainian design and the artistic community".
The winners will be announced at the end of May after the announcement of the winners of Ukrainian Design: The Very Best Of 2024.
