A Special Spotlight for Those Who Stand Their Ground: Winners Announced for Ukraine’s First Military Advertising Competition, the Brave Awards

This project did not arise from a pre-existing plan, but as a direct response to the realities of war. It was created by advertising and communications professionals who are currently serving in the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and producing informational content directly on the front lines.

As a reminder, in 2025, the All-Ukrainian Advertising Coalition (AAC) supported the creation of a new industry category — “Military Advertising.” The Brave Awards competition became a logical continuation of this initiative, providing military communications with a separate professional platform. The project was organized by the UAC Directorate and the UAC Military Advertising Committee and implemented with the support of the “Cultural Forces” Platform.

Despite constantly carrying out combat missions, the units showed high engagement in the creative competition:

  • 145 entries were submitted to the contest;
  • 55 military units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces participated in the categories.

The main feature of the Brave Awards is its strictly military focus. The entries were evaluated by professional military communications specialists who work with messages in combat conditions on a daily basis. At the same time, this competition is an important event for all of Ukrainian society, as every campaign presented contributes to a shared victory.
