CREATIVE COMMUNICATIONS
The moving image advertisements made for television, cinema, online, mobile devices, outdoor, etc. Entries should demonstrate an excellence in storytelling, creative idea and the execution using the medium of film or video.
Evaluation criteria: idea, execution and impact.

You must enter the film in the contest FILM. Video cases can be submitted for the group of categories A01-10 — A01-15. Video cases are supplemental for the others categories of the contest.
Excellence, ingenuity and outstanding craftsmanship in printed or published media. Ideas that leap off the page.
Including but not limited to books, magazines, covers, calendars, whether traditional printed materials or digital.
Are also included:
- commercial publications: books and magazines created for commercial or promotional purposes, to increase brand visibility or profile
- digital publications: publications created specifically for a digital platform, including ebooks and digital magazines
- promotional items: booklets, brochures, etc

Entries may use many kinds of media but are all seen and experienced out of home. Utilizing public spaces to convey the brand’s message or immerse consumers in a brand experience., including but not limited to: billboards, posters, murals, takeover, transit advertising, ambient advertising, displays, interactive/dynamic digital screens, special builds, live advertising and events, interactive experiences, immersive experiences etc.

Entries will need to demonstrate ideas that are wired for sound. Works that communicate a brand message through audio excellence, sonic innovation or superior aural storytelling across the airwaves and digital streams. This media encompasses any piece of audio-centric content that drives brand awareness and recall without relying on visuals. Entries should demonstrate an understanding of the different ways listeners listen, ensuring the content is suitable for the specific audio platform on which it will be heard.
Can be radio spots, podcasts, streaming and downloadable audio content.
The category can include the use of audio in the various media channels.

Entries showcase creative excellence in visual craftsmanship. It is necessary to demonstrate how design has been used to define a brand or communicate its key messages. That is, work in which a unique visual identity leads to consumer recognition or understanding.

Entries reach their intended audience through websites, mobile apps, banner ads, rich media or other technology. Eligible platforms include but are not limited to tablets, computers, wearable technology, digital screens, and mobile phones.

Advertising through social media. Entries that spread the brand message through public sharing, commenting and expressions of opinions and content. Results are measured by reach in views, likes, shares, comments, user-generated content, etc. Eligible entries include but not limited to creative solutions which utilize Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or Influencers (a celebrity, social ambassador or social influencer) to increase audience engagement.

A variety of advertising campaigns, including integrated, media, non-media, single-channel, etc. The entries should demonstrate how successfully the creative strategy was chosen and how successfully communication elements and campaign channels were defined and integrated.

Strategies and ideas that use a specific medium or media property as a creative tool. Entries will need to demonstrate an inspiring and innovative implementation of media ideas; work which is enhanced and amplified by a game-changing channel strategy.

Entries seamlessly blend the brand’s message with entertainment/content as a way to connect with their audience. This approach chooses to entertain or inform in ways that are complementary to the brand’s marketing strategy and values, often aiming to make an emotional connection with the audience rather than hard, straight sell.

Temporary or permanent brand experiences. Entries should demonstrate how the customer journey, experience of the brand and optimisation of every touch point led to increased brand affinity and commercial success.

Excellence in reputation management, creative communications and awareness with the goal of increasing positive perception and good will toward the brand. Includes but are not limited to corporate branding, crisis management, events, and public service advertising. PR campaigns often include an earned media tactic.

Marketing communications delivered straight to the consumer and designed to elicit a direct response or a specific action from a target audience. Campaigns that demonstrate targeted communications. Entries will need to demonstrate how insights and/or data were used as part of the strategy to engage specific target audience groups and develop customer relationships, inspiring action and producing measurable results.
